Capital (Review)

A young exec (Gad Elmaleh) is named CEO of a large French bank and must navigate an array of adversaries, including an American hedge fund headed by Gabriel Byrne. Most of the scenes feature old white men plotting and threatening each other, with an unnecessary side trip to a frustrated erotic attraction. While director Costa-Gavras (best known for “Missing” & “Z”) manages to maintain a modicum of interest, this indictment of capitalism lacks much that will anyone doesn’t live in that world will care about. French with subtitles..(Criterion only)
