Daddy’s Home (review)

Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg made a funny mismatched cop duo in “The Other Guys.” This time around, they’re hindered by a lousy script. Ferrell plays the step father who wants to be accepted by his wife’s 2 kids. Things are going well until their birth father (Wahlberg) shows up. The potential for comic competition is there, but the setups aren’t clever and the jokes fall flat. The only time this movie is worth watching is when Wahlberg has his shirt off. This film has some ghastly pandering product placement, esp. a car commercial.
