Half Brothers (review)

Renato (Luis Gerado Méndez) and his father were very close in Mexico, but dad immigrated to the US to help earn money for the family. Flash forward to Renato as a grown man, who discovers that his father had another wife and son in the States. Naturally, the titular siblings are very different with Renato being buttoned-up and closed-off, while Asher (Connor Del Rio) is a free-spirit. This road trip is supposed to be a comedy, but even with a few unfunny attempts, it’s primarily a drama about familial love. While it’s never painfully bad, the whole predictable journey, while adventurous, is never especially entertaining.
