Killerman (review)

The major thing that sets this movie apart from any number of films featuring tough men fighting corrupt cops is that the lead (Liam Hemsworth) has lost his memory. A drug deal goes bad and he ends up with amnesia after a car crash, so he tears thru the streets of New York (actually shot in Savannah) to get the money, drugs and revenge. While there’s a grainy 70s vibe and style of acting intensity, the jerky camerawork sometimes draws too much attention to itself. There’s plenty of average action and surprisingly, most of the violence happens off camera. Nothing about this film stands out, but for a by-the-numbers action/revenge flick, it’s acceptable.
