A interesting show that opened recently is the quilted miniature masterpiece works of Julia E. Pfaff.  “Form in Miniature” is an apt title, but the work is much more complex. At a distance it draws you in. Once you take a closer look, the depth of form and composition are almost overwhelming. Every detail is considered, which takes a skilled hand and even greater mind. These explorations of form reflect the style of her larger works in the collections of VCU and the Federal Reserve Bank, to name a few.
