The next Project Resolution is 6/21, 7pm. Submissions must be 15 minutes or under, on DVD or media file. Every submission is followed by a brief Q&A. Free (donations go to Gallery 5). There will also be screenings of “Nine Ninety-Nine” (a new short from PJ DeSutter) and a feature “Chuck E. Cheese in the Galaxy 5000 (1999)”


The Happy Hour Mixer for this year’s 48-hour Film Project is 6/29, 5-7, Sine Irish Pub. Open to filmmakers, actors, crew & fans to network and get on a team or for filmmakers to find cast and crew for their project.


The Created Equal Film Series focuses on themes of civil rights, human rights and social justice in American history. This year’s series begins with the screening of Meet Me In The Bottom: The Struggle to Reclaim Richmond’s African Burial Ground, 6/18, 6:30 at the Virginia Historical Society. Free. The dedication of this series in honor of Grady W. Powell will take place at 6pm.


Caring Field Films is seeking a young/youthful sounding male and female, who can read and speak Yiddish for a Holocaust/World War II documentary about a local Richmond family. They’re also seeking actors: male & female, 30s, dark hair and dark eyes for re-enactment segments. May be paid if funding is raised. Send an email with headshot or resume.
