After months of work, the Virginia Film Office has a streamlined new website. It was a collaboration between Richmond designers Brian Landis of The Hatchery! and Eric Gordon of Hot Brain. In addition to a new look, it also features refined content for the Locations, Filmography and all supporting pages.

 

The next Bijou Presents event will be the weekend of 6/10. Friday night is a members only screening of 3 films, including the Richmond premiere of a feature-length documentary. The same program will be repeated Saturday, open to all. Details soon.

 

The Five Minutes of Fame Film Festival is open for submissions. It will screen 8/20 at the Ashland Theater. All selected films will be screened/judged and winners receive a trophy. Enter this code for 1/2 off submission fee: DISC50

The Christian Broadcasting Network is casting for a documentary reenactment about the life of Pocahontas and they’re looking for a 3-year-old that looks Native American. Shooting in the Richmond/Jamestown area on 6/14&16, paid. Send an email with H/R (how many 3-year-olds have resumes?).
