The theme for next season at TheatreLab is WOMEN AT WAR. All shows (main stage and Cellar) will be directed by women:
 

MOTHER COURAGE AND HER CHILDREN (10/28 – 11/12)

This classic follows one woman’s survival during war in the 17th century. This new translation places her in contemporary America.

 

GRAND CONCOURSE (2/17 – 3/4, 2017)

Dawn Westbrook plays a woman dedicated to religious service, who runs a Bronx soup kitchen.

 

DRY LAND (4/21 – 5/6) Director TBA

A play about abortion, female friendship, and resiliency and what happens in a high school locker room after everybody’s left.

 

HEATHERS The Musical (7/14  – 8/19) co-produced with Firehouse Theatre Project

Based on the cult classic movie of the same name.

 

THE CELLAR SERIES is a year-long one-woman show festival with shows & directors TBD.

 

Coming this summer: MR. BURNS: A Post-Electric Play (7/22 – 7/6)

by Anne Washburn | directed by Deejay Gray (he had to direct something and this isn’t part of the new season)

After the collapse of civilization, an episode of The Simpsons has become the live entertainment of a post-apocalyptic society.
