Thanks to a tip from one of Sifter’s very stylish friends, meet Lulu. Less than a year ago, our tipster was one of Lulu’s 1,500 friends on her popular Facebook page, which has ballooned to 25,000+ likes. Each week, her friends are invited to special online events featuring eclectic fashion at affordable prices. You can practically hear the squeals when someone snags a deal.

She’s also expanded to to her jewelry and fashion boutique website Lulu Luxuries. Erin Ackerman (aka Lulu – “It’s not my name, but it’s what everyone calls me.”) created a business that clearly reflects her personality and passion. The website, the focus on Facebook and the mission statement to “find the coolest jewelry and clothing around” give the whole experience a shopping-with-girlfriends vibe. “That’s why I probably love it so much. It actually feels like a storefront because I’m interacting with them.”
