The grammar issue with the title refers to 2 men who prefer to work alone, as in lone wolf. In this case it’s 2 fixers (George Clooney and Brad Pitt) who are both hired to clean up the same death/drug issue. Obviously, the humor comes from their continual sparring: They each think they know the right way to handle the mess. Things spiral out of control, but it’s not the plot that matters. There’s a car chase that’s the only action moment, but it’s got some clever angles. This film is like a throwback to classic star vehicles. This duo is in great form, landing the subtle digs with assurance. Writer/director Jon Watts (best known for numerous Spider-Man films) knows how to stage the situations, while allowing the comedy to subtly shine thru. The focus of this caper film is Clooney and Pitt, who deftly deliver an entertaining escapade.
