The original version of this cop comedy was released in 1998 and was very funny. Luckily, this reboot is equally entertaining. Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson take on the primary roles and their ability to play it straight makes it work. Here’s an excerpt from my review of the original:
“A gag-filled laugh-fest. The satiric jabs, silly jokes and outrageous sight gags never stop…if you don’t like one, there’ll be another in just a second.”
It still applies this time with a steady stream of eccentric, silly fun. NOTE: Not only is there a post-credit surprise, but there are funny names listed throughout the credits. My fave was “Netflix password.”
