The Expendables 3 (review)

The only way to up the stakes is to toss in a few more names, so Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford and Kelsey Grammer join some of the stalwarts. After leader Sylvester Stallone fires his old gang, he recruits a bland new group of younger talent (and Antonio Banderas for laffs). The gun-heavy action scenes are a confusing blur with odds that are even more absurd. Some of the one-liners manage a chuckle, but the “serious” moments drag down the pace. This is pretty much an action in-joke with nobody trying very hard.
