This brisk little comedy puts five Gen-Z “friends” together in one house while they deal with life, jobs and relationships. This has been done before, so it’s up to the writing and performances to make this series stand apart. The showrunners are 2 longtime writers from “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and they manage to drop one or two real laughs per ep, while keeping the energy full of cheeky style and anxious energy. The cast of relative newcomers creates characters that are enjoyable, although a bit more individual background might have added some emotional depth. It doesn’t seem like that’s what they’re going for here. It’s more about a lightweight twentysomething comedy with social satire and touches of farce delivered by a likeable cast. 3 out of 5 stars (3 / 5)
