Nicola Walker and Jermaine Clement play former lovers who’ve evolved into best friends (with solid performances to prove it). Almost immediately, things get complicated when he falls for her daughter (Yali Topol Margalith). This is undeniable cringe comedy and seldom really funny…just more awkward. The one thing that makes this series more interesting is that every episode ends with another surprise. Actually, it gets better with each one, so by the end it’s gotten quite complex and compelling.
