Ma Dong-seok (aka Don Lee) made his name in the zombie thriller Train to Busan and has become one of Korea’s most popular actors. In the hostile post-apocalyptic setting, there’s one “apartment” that appears to office solace, but it’s also the focus of the conflict. He joins with a group of young rebels to help rescue a teen from a mad doctor. That’s pretty much the thin plot, which mainly serves as a bridge between fights. Dong-seok mows thru opponents with vicious chops and quick hits and that’s the point. The action is peppered regularly to keep interest, but it’s Dong-seok’s continual kickass that’s the only reason to watch.
