After 41 years, Bruce Miller is directing his final show as Artistic Director for Virginia Rep (and Theatre IV before that). The reason he chose Tennessee Williams’ SUMMER AND SMOKE goes back to the starting days of Barksdale Theatre. His unusual approach to this production also has its roots in Hanover Tavern’s history.
