The Byrd Theatre is increasing shows and welcoming more people. According to Executive Director Stacy Shaw, “Capacities are still being limited to ensure enough space for social distancing. We have every other row blocked off and with our 800 seat downstairs auditorium, we have plenty of space for people to spread out.” The Byrd’s’ typical second run features will be added when they become available.

Meanwhile, special screenings include:
– One screen classic each week
– A space-themed film on many Mondays
– A kid’s films each Wednesday
– Family classics on  Saturday morning (2x a month)
– A monthly parent’s night out

Candy, popcorn and sodas are now available, plus they’re offering wine and beer for the first time. Shaw remarks, “The team has really done a great job of picking the list of wines and beers, and ensuring we have safety protocols in place for concessions sales and ABC.”
