This film starts with a sequence of classic chases with Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner, while every product the coyote uses backfires. This sets up the concept: He hires a personal injury attorney (Will Forte) to sue ACME, the company who makes them. This also introduces the full lineup of Looney Tunes characters in supporting roles, adding most of the fun. Forte is working hard, but is seldom funny, while the often-amusing John Cena, as the opposing lawyer, doesn’t get the opportunity for laffs. There are a few clever moments and lots of cartoon gags, many of which are amusing. Despite all the obstacles, animated and otherwise, this film has a cheerful, upbeat vibe that’s made even more enjoyable thanks to the toons. NOTE: After the credits there’s a Thank You to the public, who lobbied to have this film released after it was slated not to come out and have the studio take a loss instead. 3.0 out of 5.0 stars
