He Never Died (review)

Henry Rollins has been acting almost as long as he’s been creating music. He plays a moody indestructible, immortal weirdo who mercilessly beats and kills people. When a person from the past shows up, he’s inspired to clean up his act…but not for long. This film is a weird hybrid of dark comedy, violent action and fantasy nightmare. Sadly, it doesn’t really succeed in any of the genres, primarily because it staunchly refuses to offer much explanation and rambles in several directions. It’s really Rollins’ movie, so even though the narrative is frustrating, you might enjoy his sinister style. (Free on Netflix and for purchase on Amazon)
