A plane carrying suitcases full of stolen money crashes into a frozen lake up North. Joel Kinnaman plays a man who “lives off the land” and discovers the sunken treasure. He soon gets in trouble with a Native American game warden (Cara Jade Myers) and to complicate matters, the original thieves show up searching of their booty. While the story hits the expected beats, the clever situations and the smart solutions make the film more unique. Director Stefan Ruzowitsky has staged some wild encounters with some outrageously cool results. He’s taken a relatively predictable narrative and added elements that surprise and shock for extra entertainment value. 4.0 out of 5.0 stars
