Debra Clinton (director) & Jason Marks (musical director) are a powerhouse team in our theatre community. Their most recent collaboration is the Richmond premiere of “Parade” at the Weinstein JCC’s Jewish Family Theatre (3/5 – 15). It features a score by Jason Robert Brown (who penned “The Last Five Years,” which is currently playing at Criterion Cinema) and a book by Alfred Uhry (“Driving Miss Daisy”). It was directed on B’way by Hal Prince and won the Tony for Best Book and Best Original Score. Before rehearsal this week, I sat down with Deb to talk about the show.
