Amanda Seyfried plays a Philadelphia police officer who’s trying to solve a series of murders that have a personal connection. This typical cop plot is encumbered by continuous flash backs that are supposed to add dramatic power. Seyfried embraces the opportunity to play this role with dark undertones, but her continual glower and sullen demeanor get rather tedious. It doesn’t help that the investigation lacks any interesting aspects, while plenty of time is spent showing and discussing the downtrodden neighborhood and sketchy people who live there. This review is only based on 3 ½ episodes of out 8, because I simply couldn’t put up with anymore of the indulgent drama without anything else to make it more compelling. 1.5 out of 5 stars (1.5 / 5)
