The popular yellow creatures are back looking for a new evil master. After quickly going thru a bunch, they end up in ‘20s Los Angeles. Of course, the inevitable monsters appear and the romp continues. As I said about the original film, “Their occasionally intelligible jibberish never gets old and the silly slapstick always generates a smile, if not a laff” (my full review). True again. The story is filled with endless energy, which makes up for the lack of much true hilarity. There are a few genuinely funny lines and some Easter eggs for those familiar with Hollywood lore. Otherwise, it’s just a jumble of minions. NOTE: They do have additional comic moments during the final credits, but nothing at the end. 2.5 out of 5.0 stars
