If you didn’t see my social media posts yesterday, here’s an update on Movieland.

They’re undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation/upgrade to dramatically improve the experience (the most extensive enhancements to since it opened in 2009).

Six of the newly renovated electric recliner auditoriums will be open in time for Christmas and the remaining renovations are planned to be completed by Spring 2025. I’ll feature a video tour at some point in the future.
Ben Moss, Co-Founder & Managing Partner of Bow Tie Partners, added that between now and Spring they will:

• Construct two new BTX: Bow Tie Extreme large format auditoriums with 50 foot wide screens, Dolby Atmos sound and electric recliner seating
• Upgrade the seating in all auditoriums to luxury electric recliners with integrated tables (there are samples in the lobby now & 6 of the auditoriums with the new seating will be open by Christmas)
• Increase screen sizes in multiple auditoriums
• Close 2 cinemas to make room for an expanded kitchen, the Playland Arcade at Movieland (a state of the art family friendly arcade) and duckpin bowling
• Enhance current food and beverage offerings with an expanded kitchen and bar facility
