Old Dads

Bill Burr has channeled his caustic comedy style into his first movie as co-writer, director and star. He plays one of 3 dads who are dealing with the “woke” culture, . This goes beyond parenting and school to interactions with the Millenials at the business they used to own. Burr continues his frustrated rants thru most of the film, while Bobby Cannavale adds sweet excited vibes and Bokeem Woodbine seems to be the level-headed one. Their conflicts satirize much of “evolved” thinking in the last decade, sometimes to humorous effect: More knowing smiles than real laughs. This film is basically a trio of actors having more fun than the viewers. 2.5 out of 5 stars (2.5 / 5)
