As if the Artisies itself isn’t enough of a party, this year’s event will launch a new tradition. The Richmond Theatre Critics Circle (RTCC) will be hosting an official after party at Graffiato (123 West Broad). It’s being co-sponsored by the Modlin Center for the Arts and The Renewal Projects, a community support non-profit.
“Every year, we have tried to emulate the glamour, production quality and entertainment value of the Oscar or Tony awards,” says RTCC president and Style Weekly magazine critic David Timberline. “With the help of our generous co-sponsors, we’re extending the event to encompass a magnificent after party, so people can mingle and celebrate after the main event is over.”
It will start at approximately 9:30 and wrap around 11pm, Admission is free and attendees will be treated to a complimentary sampling of Graffiato’s Italian-inspired dishes.
