Per Aspera Ad Astra

A technician (Dylan Wang) is awakened from his extended hibernation on an interplanetary mission. Turns out that the best way to ensure the health of the crew members after an extended period of non-activity is to keep the brain stimulated thru their dreams. Almost immediately, there are issues on board that require additional people to be aroused, which requires the awake ones to enter their dreamworld. This is when the cool stuff becomes insane! The surreal experiences start rather tame, but pretty quickly dazzle with dizzying visuals. These are the most extraordinary since “The Matrix” blew our minds in 1999. Director Yan Han has also ramped up the pace to make the madness even more fun. This traditional space travel adventure quickly flashes into its own surreal world with incredible influences that travel beyond video games graphics. 4.0 out of 5.0 stars
