Liam Neeson plays the father of 2 kids (yeah, he’s 73). He’s giving them a ride to school when he gets a call that his car has been rigged with a bomb and he must keep driving to avoid killing them. This sets things up for a tense trip and there are a few moments that are. On the other hand, there are points that stretch credibility and other elements of simple frustration with the whole thing. Neeson gets to show some emotional gravitas, but even with the potential explosion, the whole thing feels rather safe. Yet another in the string of quickly forgettable action films from Leeson.
