Jennifer Lopez and Josh Duhamel have gathered their family and friends for a destination wedding on an island resort in the Philippines. When pirates invade the festivities, it’s up to the duo to save the day and the wedding. The chemistry between the 2 leads is adequate and they manage to land a few comic bits. Jennifer Coolidge is having a moment and this film takes full advantage of her dizzy delivery to create some of the funniest punch lines. Some of the encounters are well played, while other aspects get in the way (esp. the fake looking process shots). Overall, there’s sufficient humor to make it occasionally amusing and enough action to keep it moving.
