Dennis Quaid plays a tech billionaire who hires a team to search for signs of intelligent life. That group includes David Thewlis, Josh Hutherson and Isabelle Fuhrman. They spend lots of time in a remote facility talking…and that’s about it. There’s lots of prep for the inevitable connection, but it turns out to be a total letdown or maybe even worse. Despite any promise that’s set up early, writer/director Jonathan Sobol fails to deliver any suspense leading up to the disappointing and somewhat confusing finish. There’s nothing about this film to recommend it. 1.0 out of 5.0 stars
