Like so many kids’ adventures, this one starts with the loss of a parent. In this case, Marlow Barkley plays a girl who longs to bring her father back and discovers a map to a dream world that might help. There are expectedly dazzling visuals to thrill the eye, but it’s Jason Momoa, as her guide, who adds his irreverent style to humorous effect. Unfortunately, there are numerous scenes of emotional drama that keep interrupting the pace. This is strictly formula production that sometimes gets exciting or even fun, but more often gets dragged down by the drama. (2.5 / 5)
