After 40 years as a founding artistic leader of Virginia Repertory Theatre (formerly Theatre IV and Barksdale Theatre), Bruce Miller has announced that he will step aside as Artistic Director in July, 2016.

Virginia Rep is forming a Leadership Transition Task Force to begin the search process for a replacement. Meanwhile, Bruce will become more involved in development and education for the organization.

Co-founder Phil Whiteway has announced no plans at this point and will be there thru the transition at least.
