Austrailian twins Danny & Michael Philippou became internet popular for their silly shorts. This is their first feature, which revolves around a group of teens (doesn’t every thriller?). They get together to conjure spirits thru an embalmed hand. Of course, these evil forces end up with bloody consequences. Like most current suspense films, it revolves around possession as a means to scare and attack people. In this case this rather hackneyed premise plays out with occasional mild tension and only one real intense scene. Otherwise, it’s just another dark exploration into teen terror that offers nothing new or very scary.
