Of the action actors we have today, Jason Statham does it best. This time he plays yet another retired secret government operative who comes out of hiding to kick ass. Surprisingly, he’s not out to save the world, but to get vengeance for a phone scamming scheme that affected a friend. Statham plays his typical steely character bashing his way thru insurmountable attacks with barely a scratch. He dispatches his enemies quickly without much blood or gore. His fierce encounters start early on and keep piling up with regularity, minimizing the dialogue and dullness. Fans of the genre and the man will find plenty to enjoy in this fight-filled, formulaic film.
