This series is based on the 1981 movie written/directed by Alan Alda, who has a cameo in this new series. It revolves around 3 couples who vacation together each season. The couples are played by Tina Fey & Will Forte, Steve Carrell & Kerry Kenney, Colman Domingo & Marco Calvani. They all have issues, but Fey & Forte only have repartee. Those expecting Fey’s usual smart comedy will find this more of a dramedy with a few witty remarks, but mostly conflicts and discussion. Even so, there’s a breezy energy, sufficient witty banner and talented actors creating interesting characters to make it a moderately enjoyable getaway. (Two eps for each season for a total of eight 30-minute eps)
