Matthew Macfadyen plays a brilliant scientist who’s discovered a way to miniaturize food, but as you can guess from the title, it ends up happening to his wife (Elizabeth Banks). Thus begins a somewhat unoriginal sci-fi story that’s more about relationships. It also wanted to be a comedy, but only O-T Fagbebke, as the spurned lover, provides any moments of levity. Otherwise, Macfadyen is in a constant state of panic, while Banks copes with her frustrating predicament with anger and pluck. Of course, the effects are fun and provide the only clever moments, albeit none of it especially cool. The series moves at a good pace, but still plods along without much exciting or special.
