Charlie Vickers plays the lone survivor of a devastating storm. Fifteen years later, he returns to his small Australian town, where the scars from the loss of 3 other people still reverberates thru the community. Solving the mystery is half of the story, while a more recent murder and the drama behind the families gets much of the attention. The performances are all strong, which helps. The continual cutaways to the spectacular caves on the coast are beautiful, but they only serve as objective reminders of the tragedy. Ultimately, the series never creates much dramatic momentum or narrative thrust. As a result, it’s not much more than an average TV drama. (6 one-hour eps)
