Joe Manganiello must be desperate for own franchise….can’t think any other reason he’d align himself with this disaster. He plays a homeless drunk who maintains that he’s actually from another planet in a parallel universe and has super powers. An eager young online journalist and his sister get involved with him after they anger the wrong people. Anyone hoping for a typical superhero movie will be gravely disappointed. This is a dark, gritty crime drama with lots of sci-fi physics jabberwocky. The action is minimal and when it does appear, it’s not special. To make matters worse, what could have been cool otherworld excursions (and exposition) are presented in low-budget, unattractive animation. There is absolutely nothing to recommend this talky, cheap-looking, unfocused and uninteresting mess.
