Avengers: Infinity War (review)

If you’re a fan of the Marvel Universe and are invested in the characters, you’re in for some satisfaction and a few shocks. If you like lots of noisy fighting and chaotic editing, you’ll find yourself loving it. It’s plotted as usual: an evil power (Thanos) is intent on destroying much of the universe. The collection of superheroes is almost countless and their collective battles seem endless. Despite a few minutes of drama and some wisecracks, it’s just bombastic overkill. The effects and visuals bring nothing new to the genre. As for the rumored dispatch of heroes, unless they pull future reversals, a number of stars are out of their contracts. The post-credit scene features even more upset.
