With the movies in this series, time travel and cyborgs play the biggest part. This plot combines several periods and characters to confuse a plot that really doesn’t matter. We’re really watching for 2 things: cool effects and amazing action. There’s lots of the molten metal that we’ve seen before (yawn) and the new regeneration effect is not exceptional or eye-popping. There’s lots of fighting and gunplay, but most of it’s unoriginal and unexciting. Arnold Schwarzenegger is back doing most of the heavy lifting and cracking some lame new jokes. While the pace only lags for a few boring dialogue moments, nothing about the conflicts or concepts is unique, thrilling or special. NOTE: Stay thru the early credits for a teaser.
