With the cinemas locked down for more than a month and Hollywood going crazy to release new product, there’s a classic solution being launched in our area this weekend.
The Goochland Drive-In is opening on May 1 with a family-focused double feature of Trolls: World Tour (which never played theaters) and Doolittle (my review). They’re charging $20 per carload (7 people max) and have set up the experience for added safety:
– Tickets are prepaid online to avoid crowds at the box office.
– They’re limiting capacity to 50%, so cars are required to park 12ft or more apart.
– People can only watch the movie inside the car, not in chairs out front.
– The snack bar is closed.
– Certain restrictions and enhancements have been made to the rest rooms.
Tickets are now on sale for the shows that open on May 1 by visiting the website.
