Matt Damon and Casey Affleck play hapless guys who get involved in a heist to rob the Mayor of Boston. Everything quickly goes wrong and they spend the rest of the film getting into and out of incredibly impossible situations. And they do it with the help of a smart script (which Affleck co-wrote) and snappy direction by action vet Doug Liman. Affleck’s character gets most of the funny quips, while Damon has the heart of the film. The rest of the cast is crammed with talented actors. There are a few crazy action scenes, but lots more quick thinking and wild luck. Every time their heist gets complex and hopeless, the stakes rise and so does the entertainment value. Smart and fun!
