Everything about this movie has been done before and better. It’s yet another spy adventure where an unwitting friend ends up in the middle of the mayhem. In this case, Halle Berry is the operative who enlists former beau Mark Wahlberg to help save the world (or at least the identities of the country’s spies). Thus begins a mundane series of chases and fights, every one of them mediocre and unoriginal. The chemistry between the stars is OK, but the dialogue leaves them in typical trite exchanges. While this film isn’t especially dull, it’s never especially interesting either. By-the-numbers boring.
