Ke Huy Quan stars as a mild-mannered realtor. When a woman from his past shows up, it forces him to revert to his former self: a brutal martial arts killing machine. But not in a bad way. This film has a lighthearted energy, thanks primarily to Quan’s sweet personality. But it’s really about is the frantic fights. The hand-to-hand combat scenes are staged with lots of flying bodies and furious blows. At some point it just feels like overkill. The plot is purely predictable, the dialogue is throwaway and the characters aren’t especially interesting. The intricately choreographed fight scenes are the only thing to recommend this film.
