Cadence Theatre Company has announced its shows for the 2016-2017 Mainstage Season at Theatre Gym (produced in partnership with Virginia Rep).

 

John (10/20 – 11/12)

A young couple struggling to stay together arrives at a bed and breakfast and are surrounded by thousands of watchful inanimate objects. One of TIME’s top 10 plays of 2015.

 

Violet (2/16 – 3/11, 2017)

The musical is based on the short story “The Ugliest Pilgrim” about a facially disfigured woman’s quest for beauty that leads her to a televangelist. Won the New York Drama Critics Circle Award in 1997.

 

Rabbit Hole (4/27 – 5/20)

Becca and Howie Corbett have everything a family could want, until a life-shattering accident turns their world upside down. Winner of the 2007 Pulitzer Prize.
