Yet another time loop movie. This time, Frank Grillo wakes up to find a slew of baddies trying to kill him. Each day, has to elude them, so he can get to the bottom of this deadly repetition. The first 15 minutes are crammed with spectacular fights and stunts, as he recounts his efforts for the first few weeks. Even when things move forward, there’s still a healthy helping of flashy action sequences. Oh yes, the evil man behind this sci-fi scheme is played by Mel Gibson. There’s nothing especially interesting about the writing or characters and Grillo never rises above his physical skills, but it’s got plenty of lively action.
