Although you might expect this to be an extension of the Liam Neeson’s TAKEN franchise, he’s actually cast as a more demure character…at least in the beginning. He drives a snow plow in a frigid Colorado town, but when his son is killed, he sets out for revenge. Most of the action is unexceptional and the plot is full of holes. The only surprising thing is the sprinkling of dark humor that punctuates each death. Not really that amusing, but it does add a different tone to an otherwise mediocre action flick.
