When this film starts, a couple (Sophie Thatcher and Jack Quaid) is headed to a beautiful cabin in the woods owned by a Russian millionaire (Rupert Friend). That’s about all that can be said about the plot without spoiling things, but there is a sexbot involved. Writer/director Drew Hancock has created a dark comedy with elements of a murderous thriller. The actors are having fun and, although there are some twists in the plot, there’s nothing especially shocking. Simply, this is a clever concept that’s realized with a smart script and assured direction. (3.5 / 5)
