Florence Pugh and Harry Styles play an extremely happy couple in a seemingly ideal neighborhood, but she suspects something is amiss. Yes, The Stepford Wives jumps immediately to mind, but this has less going for it. Like any sci-fi thriller set in a seemingly perfect world with underlying mysteries, you’d expect the payoff to be worth sitting for 2 hours. Not in this case. The performances are all strong (Styles def shows star quality) and director Olivia Wilde creates an interesting, colorful world. Sadly, there’s too much wasted time before the reveal, which is a confusing letdown. 2 out of 5 stars (2 / 5)
