Esther Povitsky stars in the title role, an exaggerated (maybe) version of a Gen-Z who thinks she’s an influencer and obsessed with social media. Her self-involved personality is “triggered” by almost anything, which is where most of the comedy comes from. She also can’t stop stalking her ex (Haley Joel Osment). After the pharmacy where she works is robbed, she decides to track down the culprit. But the plot is meaningless. This film is a reason for Povitsky to create a delightfully narcissistic, clueless character. She’s surrounded by a supporting cast of crazies that adds fun, plus her straight-laced parents played by Beverly D’Angelo and James Remar. Ultimately, this heightened version of the obsessively egocentric character is an enjoyably-observed satire that’s consistently amusing. (3 / 5)
